Maharani Foundation is more than an organisation — it is a tribute, a promise, and a movement of love.
The journey began in October 2021, when our Founder, Mr. Mohan Nair, walked into an old-age home and saw a group of elderly women sitting quietly, without complaints, expectations, or visitors. Their silence held stories — of sacrifices made, families raised, dreams forgotten.
That day, the movement was born.
From a one-person effort, Maharani has grown into a Foundation recognised for its heartfelt service to elderly women and orphaned children. Today, with more than 500 volunteers, community partners, theatre artists, and supporters, we are committed to ensuring no mother ever feels invisible again.
To build a world where every life is valued, every mother is honoured, and every child is empowered.

Maharani Foundation was founded by Mr. Mohan Nair, a visionary whose life changed the day he walked into an old-age home and saw mothers sitting quietly, forgotten by the world they once nurtured.
He saw not elderly women — but uncrowned queens who had lived full lives of sacrifice and strength. And he wondered: Who remembers them now? Who stands beside them? Who listens to their silence?
A man with 25+ years of experience in jewellery retail and talent events, Mr. Nair spent decades creating beauty through precious stones and grand shows. But life led him toward a different kind of beauty — one found in giving dignity, love, and hope to mothers who deserved so much more.
He left behind the corporate comfort to build Maharani, a movement rooted in empathy and action.
What started as personal visits slowly grew into festivals celebrated with abandoned mothers, skill-training workshops, grooming sessions, theatre productions, and eventually — a fully approved charitable foundation.
His belief is simple:
To build a world where every elderly woman and every orphaned child receives love, dignity, opportunity, and a place to belong.
We honor every elderly woman with care and understanding. Our actions are guided by empathy — listening to their stories, sharing their joys, and supporting them in moments of loneliness or need.
We act with honesty and respect in everything we do for our mothers. Every promise, visit, and initiative is delivered with sincerity, ensuring that the trust of those we serve is never compromised.
We believe in creating a community around our elderly women. Volunteers, families, artists, and partners come together to provide companionship, meaningful activities, and a support system that makes every mother feel seen.
We help elderly women reclaim their voice, confidence, and dignity. Through cultural events, skill-building sessions, and opportunities to share their experiences, we remind them that their lives still matter deeply.
We build programs that provide long-term care and emotional support. Our goal is not just to offer temporary assistance, but to ensure every elderly woman experiences continued respect, companionship, and well-being.
We explore creative ways to enrich the lives of elderly women. From theatre and storytelling to workshops and community celebrations, we bring new experiences that inspire joy, engagement, and a renewed sense of purpose.
